Tax Day Tea Party!!

On December 16th, 1773 a group of men called the Sons of Liberty, dressed as Indians, boarded 3 ships and proceeded to dump the tea the ships were carrying into the Boston Harbor to protest the British tax on tea.

On April 15th, 2009 a group of people gathered in front of the Capitol building in Harrisburg, PA, to protest to the governor and our President the possibility of taxes being raised and the budget spending plans. There were "tea parties" in other states as well. After a few speeches, the people were permitted to enter the Capitol and leave tea bags outside the governor's office door. My family and I were among them.
